Spring

We are in the full swing of spring. Cameron is very busy writing 3 papers over 20 pages each, and translating 12 pages of French. He has been hiding out at the desk and on the couch for the past two weeks. We may see him emerge next Friday if all goes well. We have finally gotten the spring weather we have been hoping for. Callie and I have spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the blooms, sunshine, and playgrounds. The spring here is amazing. I have never seen so many flowers in so many different colors. My favorites come out early and have these huge blooms on them. Someone said they are magnolia trees. I am not sure though because they are pink. As soon as one beautiful tree loses it's flowers, another one starts to bloom. It is really amazing. We are not looking forward to the yellow ones in our parking lot. I remember being blinded by them because of allergies. Callie and I have both suffered mildly from them so far. Cameron took us to "Spring Fling" which is the Divinity School Prom. To Callie it was a Ball where she was the princess. It was held in the Historical Society Building, a museum with a cotton gin, Victorian doll house taller than me, an old bicycle, and lots of little boats. We are looking forward to graduation and seeing a lot of our family. Well, I better let Cameron get back to his computer.

Thanks for letting me know about the blog update. It's so cute. You're a good writer, too. I think the tree is a tulip tree.I have one with the same blossoms, but mine looks like a bush (maybe it's going to be a tree) that the McHughs gave us when we got married. It blooms before any leaves come out and very early, then loses its petals and leaves come out.

Julia's comment after admiring all the pictures of Callie was, "Now how about Addie, Callie's Mommy. Where's Addie? I want to see Addie. Pictures of Addie....." You've experienced how repetitive she can be. :)

Yeah I think it's a tulip tree as well. I use to see those a lot in San Francisco.
