Back yard.
Callie's orange room.
Avery's room. Soon to be guest room.
Living room.
Huge, beautiful kitchen...
I think our whole Yale apartment could fit in this kitchen. There is also an office, and master suite. Have not gotten pictures yet.
We moved again. The third time is a charm, that is the third time in a year. Yes, we have this moving thing down. We are in an awesome area, lots of families, and less crazies. We have four bedrooms, lots of space and cheaper rent. The previous little girl who lived here had a hamster, so we call it the "hamster house." But while we were moving in we found a 9" diameter tarantula in the back yard. So, Cameron suggested we call it the "Big spider house." I am not a fan of that name. Callie sometimes calls it the house with her orange room. Before we moved I painted her room orange. She loves it so much. She kept saying "Oh, thank you for my orange room. Thank you mom." In her sweet little voice it made my heart melt. She loves her room so much that our recent trip to Idaho for my sisters wedding was not distraction enough to keep her from wanting her room. She kept asking to go home to her orange room. We all really love this place. Huge difference from our digs in CT. Though we loved CT, it is nice to have space. I wish I could combine the lifestyle of our New Haven world with a lovely spacious home. Oh, I guess you can never have it all.
Since we have moved further out of the city we have seen several critters. This is a chronicle of the Critters we have seen.
-2 tarantulas both outside. One was 9" big and in the backyard, the other much smaller by our front door. Cameron has sprayed and we have not seen any since.
-1 giant toad in the yard.
Garage critters:
-1 giant moth that landed on Callie's stomach while moving in. She loved it.
-1 lizard about 11" long. I shooed him out.
-1 tiny, baby-bunny cotton-tail. We had to shoo him out, too. He was so cute. About the size of a baseball.
-1 bird (may have been a dove). I helped to direct him out the door.
Animals heard.
-last night I heard what sounded like two owls perched outside our window.
We like our new ward. There seems to be more kids. The ward we left had one kid in Callie's Sunbeams class. Now there are about 6. Now that we are further out Cameron is making plans to ride the bus to school. We hope this will give him some study time during the commute. Cameron has finished his "internships" or "externships," whichever word you prefer. He now has several deadlines for job searching, and law journal entries. School has not even started and he is already swamped. He works so hard.
