We unexpectedly went into labor late Wednesday night. After suffering through tears and trembling for over an hour, they finally determined, "yes, this is real labor (though I was not progressing), and, yes, we will go ahead with the C-section. Oh, and get her an epidural." I was planning on skipping all of that on Monday, but this girl could not wait. So, at 4:36 A.M., February 14th, 2008, baby Avery Mae LaDuke was born, weighing in at a whopping 8lbs. 2 oz. and 20.5" long. She has a tiny delicate face with large almond shaped eyes. Her hair is dark brown, and her eyes are blue. She is a little louder than her forerunner, but she is very sweet and precious. We find it fitting that she was born on Valentine's because a tremendous amount of love for a new family member was born into each of our hearts
